Where Should I Buy My Wooden Pergola From?

If you're looking to buy a wooden pergola in the UK, then you should know that U-Wood Bespoke Designs are a leading manufacturer of Summer Garden Buildings in the UK - and the great news is that with no retail outlet on the high street, you're cutting out the middle man and therefore cutting down on the cost - meaning you can buy affordable wooden garden furniture from us.

Our team of expert carpenters have been working together for almost 10 years, creating beautiful pieces of bespoke wooden furniture, wooden home decor and personalised gifts. Each carpenter brings their own individual specialities to the team, meaning we rarely come across a wood design project that we can't complete.

Which Wooden Garden Gazebo Should I Choose?

There are several different types of shape, size and type of wooden gazebo that you can choose from. The most popular choice that our customers make is an hexagonal wooden pergola with a roof, but you can also choose to have a square or even octagonal shaped wooden pergola with a roof.

Everyone uses different terminology, but we tend to use the word 'pergola' over 'gazebo'. Either way, if you a considering having a permanent wooden structure in your garden, you can choose from one with a roof, or a wooden gazebo with wooden slats so you can weave a climbing plant through it such as a grapevine, Japanese Wisteria or a honeysuckle, which will give your wooden garden gazebo a real Mediterranean feel!

At U-Wood Bespoke Designs we create pieces that are just that - bespoke. So whether you want a wooden pergola with sides, a wooden gazebo with sides and a pitched roof, a garden pergola with a slate roof or a wooden pergola with no sides but with a wooden floor, our team of carpenters can build it for you to suit your needs.

Do You Need Permission For A Wooden Garden Gazebo?

This is a question that we get asked surprisingly often, especially with the large Wooden Gazebos, like the one we built above. So - if you're going to have any type of permanent wooden structure in your garden, the general rule is that consent is not needed as long as it is less than 2.5 metres high and is less than 2 metres from the boundary of your garden/property. But please do check with your local authority if you're not sure.
